Memorial Day Madness

Grandma Bets and her girls

Just playing in the muddy garden

Caden had to get in on the action

Cade said he was being a worm. Good excuse for slithering in the mud.

Clean up time!!

Playing with Uncle Mark and Eowyn

Nap time in the car

Curt, Mark, Mandy and the kids went to Terre Haute for the looong weekend. They left around 3:30 Thursday afternoon and due to some torrential rain, late hours and poor directions, got a little lost before finally making it in at 4:30 a.m. Bonnie, Greg and Eowyn came up from Nashville and Sarah and her boyfriend Jeff were there also. The whole family was there except, well, just me. This was my scheduled holiday and due to my new weekend option job, I had to work Friday and Saturday as well. So I packed the fam up and spent the whole weekend to myself just working and sleeping. They definitely had much more fun than I did!!

Creation Corner Graduation

Gorgeous girl wearing her brother's hat. She always wants to be just like Cade.

Preparing to sing "The Muffin Man"

Keira and her friend Braxton from her class.

Tonight was graduation at the Mother's Day Out program at our church. Caden calls it "church school." Cade wasn't graduating, but the 3 year old class sang several songs with the 4 year olds. It was 80% chaos, 20% singing, and 100% cute!!!

Our Wild Safari Day

The camels came right up to the car (like the car in front of us). They let the camels

stick their heads in the window, but I was a little apprehensive about lettting a stinky

camel that close to my face.

Very serious about the juice box.

They had a huge area with Kangaroos that we got to pet. So cool!

Keira was REALLY excited about the bunnies.

Cade got to pet a lemur while singing "I like to move it!"

Can you believe it? We got to ride a camel!! This was by far my highlight of the day.

Mother's Day Fun

We went to MarketPlace for lunch - my favorite, then home for a nap and to Aunt Margaret's after church. Keira was super tired at lunch and not in the mood for pictures at all. She perked up to her usual goofy self after nap as you can tell.

It's Grubb Time...Are you ready????

Well, our other website was having difficulties, so here we are - entering the blog world. I've really enjoyed keeping up with friends and family through their blogs, so here goes. Maybe I'll keep up with this better than our other one!!!

We went to the Wild Wilderness Safari today. Yes, surprisingly enough, there is a safari just a short 30 minute drive from our house. Caden went with his class at school on Wednesday and had such a great time, we wanted to go too. I actually had the weekend off - my last one forever (at least it seems) since I start my weekend option this coming weekend. It's a blessing to get the opportunity to be weekend option, but I'm still mourning my weekends. For those that don't know, weekend option means I work 24 hours (2 weekend shifts) and get paid for an extra 8 hours. This is a blessing because I can't work more with my school schedule this summer, and I don't take a major paycut, but I also don't have the option of any weekends off. I only get 2 weekends off a year!!

Mark and Mandy got here tonight and are busy moving in. We're so excited to have them living with us this summer to help take care of the kids while Mommy gets educated. Keep us in your prayers as we tackle having our 2 kids (who are used to their own rooms) sharing a room for the summer.

Well, gotta go enjoy some brownies with the kids!!! I'll keep ya posted. Enjoy the pics!
