An Eggs-ellent Afternoon

Arkansas weather is sooo unpredictable. Yesterday is was in the 40s, today it was 70s, and tomorrow it is supposed to storm. You know what that means...we had to take advantage of every minute of sunshine we had today!

Cade got roller blades last week and we've been practicing on them, so we took our blades over to Margaret's house and we roller bladed while Margaret pushed Ethan in the stroller and Lonnie rode his bike. Granted, Cade's pace was MUCH slower than theirs, but he's getting better everyday we practice. After a little while, I went and hid some eggs in the back yard and the kids had a great time hunting their eggs. Margaret's backyard is great for an egg hunt because there are so many hiding spots. I can't even express how wonderful it is to live so close to Margaret and Lonnie and be able to share these moments together.

Hope you all enjoy the pics and feel like you were there with us too!

Here's an egg for you!

I love, love, LOVE this pic. Could she be any sweeter???

Totally Cade in a nutshell

I love seeing Cade and Keira interact with Ethan. They love him so much and are so sweet to him. First thing Cade did when he got back with his eggs and saw that Ethan didn't have as many as he did was to give Ethan some of the eggs from his basket. I know Ethan didn't care about the eggs, but it was the sweet gesture from Cade that touched my heart. I hope these kids grow closer and closer as they get older and always watch out for each other.

To me, this pic sums Ethan up. Sweet, serious, inquisitive goodness all rolled up into a cute little boy package!!

One more down!!

We had a visit with the dentist today and Cade lost another tooth thanks to Dr P. Cade's adult tooth was coming in behind his baby tooth and the baby tooth wasn't close to coming out, so Dr P had to help it out. Cade was sooo brave and was a trooper through his first experience with Novocaine. He didn't enjoy getting the injection, but he didn't cry or fuss about it. They have a wonderful assistant there that talked Cade through it and helped him stay calm through the whole thing. I was so thankful for her!!

You can see the adult tooth on the bottom right is pretty big. That's the tooth that was BEHIND his baby tooth. It's pretty far behind where it should be, but our dentist is optomistic it will shift forward to it's normal position with time. Oh yeah, and the girls at the dentists office were so kind to inform Cade that teeth that get pulled by the dentist are worth more to the tooth fairy. Thanks Girls!!!

Cade's Big News!

Cade lost his first tooth!!! Yeah for Caden! It's been VERY wiggly for a few weeks, but he finally pulled it out yesterday at Adventure Club. The tooth fairy came and exchanged his beautiful tooth for a cool gold dollar coin. Yep, his tooth fairy is very generous!

Also, Nicole's blog made me think about Cade's funny April Fool's joke. He called me on the phone. This is how the conversation went:

Cade: "Hey mom, guess what?"

Me: "What Cade?"

Cade: "You have a rat in your armpit. April Fools!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

He was DYING with laughter. He totally cracks himself up. I LOVE that kid!!!
