We've had a great month and it's getting close to time for school to start back. It's been a blast and thought we should share with you what we've been up to.

Our town had it's annual celebration complete with parade of firetrucks and floats from assorted businesses. I LOVE living in a small town outside a big (sorta) town! The kids got their faces painted and hair "colored." Keira really wanted purple, but settled for pink. You can't see it too well, but her hair has pink stripes. The kids have been telling me for a while that they wanted their hair colored for Halloween, so this was a good trial fun. I think it worked pretty well, and rinsed out easily!

Although, I do have to give the song (and other various kids CDs) some props for helping keep the kids quiet (or at least mildly entertained) during some rough points in the trip. Overall, the kids did great, they had their moments but it was to be expected on a long car trip like that. Here are some great moments from the trip...

Three giddy kids anxious to make it to Florida...little did they know the LONG ride they had ahead of them.



We love goofy photo ops. Only Lonnie would try to get the car in the pic instead of us getting the kids out of the car. Gotta admit, it was a pretty ingenious move since getting the kdis in and out of the car was a 1 minute ordeal. We were so happy to be in Louisiana, until a few more minutes down the road when Lonnie promptly got pulled over and ticketed. Boo to Louisiana!!!



Lonnie has many great qualities, but I don't think diaper changing is on his top ten list. Margaret says this is pretty much the face he makes everytime he changes a poopy diaper. Little did he know there would be MANY more to come!! Poor Ethan!!!



Later, Ethan showed Alabama what he thought of that great state by dropping a HUGE load. Let's just say it required him to only be wearing a diaper later and a towel had to be put on his carseat. The rest can be left to your imagination!
