For Keira's dance recital this year her class is being Snow White and dancing to songs from the movie like "Hi Ho" and "Someday my prince will come." This week was Parent Observation week so we could see what they have been working on for the past few months. It was soooo cute!! Stretching

Our Little Lucky Charm
Margaret and Lonnie welcomed Eli Carson Lamp into their family on Wednesday, March 17. Margaret went in for an induction at 5:30 in the morning and I was LUCKY enough to be home on Spring Break and able to be there for the birthday party.
Ready to get this party started!

The nurse in me had to put this up. The hills are the contractions and the other line is Eli's heartbeat. He had a very good home in Margaret's tummy but it's time he gets evicted!

I know I wasn't officially her "nurse," but I would have been lucky to have her as my patient. She did AMAZING! Everything went so fast and perfectly. Eli was born at 11:31 and Margaret, Lonnie and Eli were back home the next day by 2:30.
Eli is absolutely ADORABLE. If anything could make me want another baby, it is his sweet little face. He looks a lot like Ethan, but more like Margaret than Ethan does. With each day that passes I think he is starting to get his own little look. His bilirubin levels have been a little high, so he's been getting a lot of sun over the last few days and eating every couple of hours. Unfortunately, the sun has disappeared from the area and we have been blessed (note the sarcasm) with about 6 inches of snow over the last 24 hours. For more pics of Eli, check out Margaret's blog.
Proud Papa - first picture of Eli with Dad

Post bath lounging. Looking at this picture 2 days after his birthday makes him look HUGE in this pic.

Keira is sooooo excited about her new cousin. She LOOOOOVES baby Eli so much!!

The Grubb boys and a new boy to play with.

The happy new family!

We are so excited for Margaret and Lonnie and so LUCKY to be able to enjoy this time with them!!

Blue and Gold
Usually, this means "Go Wolverines," but for this occasion it means "Go Cub Scouts!" Cade's Scout Pack had their annual Blue and Gold Banquet - in addition, this year is Cub Scouts 100th birthday, so it was a big deal.
Love my boys!!

Cade getting his awards

After his banquet we opened up his birthday presents from us since I was in Little Rock on his actual birthday
A new suitcase and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Every 1st grade kid's dream!!!

Still loving Star Wars

Cade has been dying for a Martian Maker since he played with one with Parker and Lillie at Thanksgiving. It has given us countless hours of enjoyment since!!!

Soon to Follow - Eli's birthday and Keira's dance class. Stay tuned!!

Lucky Number Seven
Caden celebrated his 7th birthday on Wednesday, but since I'm out of town during the week and we wanted to make this birthday special for him, it's been more of a birthWEEK celebration.
Here's the rundown so far.
Monday - Cade had Cub Scouts, so it was a pretty busy night, so not much extra happened especially for his birthday, but it was still a fun day.
Tuesday - his school had a book fair, so Curt took Cade to it and let him pick out a special book for his birthday.
Wednesday - The Big Day!! Curt woke him up with breakfast in bed...a pancake in the shape of a 7 and a special face drawn on it. Then off to school, where Curt surprised him by meeting him at school for lunch with a McDonalds Mighty Kids meal since he's not a little kid anymore. ;( His class sang happy birthday to him and he got a special birthday pencil and button. He got lots of phone calls from family to sing to him that evening. Also, we have dinner with our small group every Wednesday night before church, so Curt took a special cookie cake with him and the group sang to him. He also got to open his b-day present from Pops and Grandma Bets. Thanks, he loved the shirt!!
Thursday - almost every Thursday Margaret and Lonnie watch the kids so Curt can work late, go to the gym, and run any errands he needs to WITHOUT the kids. A HUGE help!! I haven't talked to Caden yet, but the plan was to let Cade pick what he wanted for dinner, then go to Barnes and Noble to let him pick out a book and all the kids could play with the trains. A perfect outing for my kiddos!
Friday - Caden and his Cub Scout Pack have their annual banquet, so it will be another great night of celebrating Caden and all he has accomplished this year.
I'm so proud of my guy and can't believe I am a mom of a SEVEN year old. Where has the time gone????
