Yeah!!! I'm finally home for the first time in 2 weeks and I got to sleep in my own bed last night. It was heaven!!! Oh yeah, it was great to see the fam too! I was FINALLY able to upload pics to the computer so here goes our last 2 weeks.
I didn't get any pictures of us moving me to school, but it was fairly uneventful. Curt left from home first towing the U-haul and the kids and I left about 45 minutes later. We had to stop a few more times for potty breaks than Curt did, so we got there quite a bit after Curt. Mark and Mandy drove up from Searcy to help us carry up the heavy stuff and by the time the kids and I got to the apartment, almost everything was moved in. I didn't plan it that way, it just somehow worked out in my favor!! However, Curt managed to slice his hand open on a nail sticking out of the bottom of the couch and ended up with a nice little battle wound.
Curt took the kids to Mark and Mandy's Sunday night and they stayed there until Wednesday, when I got the kids and met Curt halfway home. THe orignal plan had been for me to come all the way home on Wednesday and stay until the next Sunday, when I thought classes started on Monday. Somehow I missed something in the information packet b/c classes started on Thursday instead of Monday. So instead of coming home and getting to be there for Keira's first day of school and Caden's open house, I had MY first day of school. I was super upset (yes, I called Curt in tears when I realized it...I know I'm a big baby) but he reminded me that it was very important that I was in school and I was fulfilling a dream that was going to benefit out family for years to come. I have the most AMAZING husband who has adjusted to being a "single" dad so much better than I had ever dreamed. I could go on and on, but then this blog would be REALLY, REALLY long! (Instead of just really long!!)
Curt rose to the challenge of taking Keira to her first day of school and even brushed her hair and managed to get it up in a really cute pony. All the guys out there know just how hard that is and should be super proud of him. He even took all the pictures I would have taken if I had been there. A big hooray for Curt.

After Curt dropped Keira off for her first day (she did amazing by the way...no tears, sat right down and started reading a book. That's my girl!) he headed to Cade's new school for his open house.

Friday we met in Branson for a relaxing weekend. We went to the Landing Friday night for a late dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. Then hung out at the pool on Saturday.

Later, we wandered around the downtown area then headed back to the Landing to see what it looked like during the day and with stores open.
This guy greeted us outside a downtown store. He was so cute we just had to snap a pic with him.

The kids loved all the fountains at the Landing. We got there around noon and they had a really cool water light show to the National Anthem. They even had fire come out of some pillars which the kids thought was both cool and kinda scary.

We've been talking for a while about getting Keira's ears pierced and decided to finally just do it. Here she is before showing off her unpierced ears.

The procedure

The after picture. Keira did great during the actual piercing. It took about 3 seconds for her to feel the burning pain and then the tears started. She never screamed, she just had big crocodile tears and kept saying "it hurted!"

From Branson we headed back to my apartment so the family could participate in the White Coat Ceremony. The ceremony is a big deal at school where all the P1's get our white coats and are inducted into the school.
This is my class, all 120 of us. We spend about 5 hours a day in the same classroom together. Everyday. For the next 4 years. I think we'll get to know each other very well.

Getting my white coat put on me. Woo hoo!! I'm finally a pharmacy student!!!!

Unfortunately I had the camera (that wasn't working) and Curt didn't get any pictures of Cade's first day of school. Well, that's not totally true. He found a disposible camera that is who knows how old in our closet and took some pics, so I'll have some pictures later, but no guaranteeing the quality of them.
Keira's birthday party is today at noon, so we'll have more pics later. Have a great day!!!
