Future super stars?!!

Caden and Keira have become OBSESSED with seeing themselves on the computer. They like the pictures pretty well, but the videos....They want to watch them over and over again. Since we are cooped inside today, we decided to make a bunch of videos and see which ones were our favorites. Here are the finalists!

Snow Day

Cade came running into my room this morning proclaiming "It's snowing Mom! There's snow on the ground. Let's go play!!" Of course, my first reaction was "Great, let's make a snowman!" Just kidding!!! You all know that is soooo not me. After 18 years in Michigan, I'd be okay with never seeing snow again!! My reaction was to roll over, groan, and think "Why does it have to be snowing. Now school will be closed. What are we going to do all day?"
I don't know what the rest of the day will bring, but this is how we spent our morning. Margaret and Lonnie came over and motivated me to spend 20 minutes bundling the kids up to go outside, then Lonnie played with the kids in the snow while Margie and I shivered and took turns taking pics. (Curt is hard at work while Lonnie is playing hookie. We're hoping Curt will come home early since it's still snowing pretty hard.)
The kids came in, had hot chocolate and an exciting game of fun and consequences, and are now in the bath full of bubbles getting warm and clean at the same time. (they are also currently singing "We wish you a merry Christmas." How goofy are they!) We may even decorate boxes for Valentines Day later if we get ambitious. Mainly, I plan to love and snuggle with my kids all day and treasure the joy that they are, even if the house doesn't get cleaned (it can wait until tomorrow), laundry doesn't get done (we have plenty of clean clothes) and dinner may not be gourmet (is it ever?!!). Hope your day is as love filled as ours is!!!

I love hearing Keira say "He throwed that at to me." I've never heard her say that before, but it's awfully cute with her smile and infectious giggle. Notice Caden in the background in his own little imaginary world with Buzz Lightyear. If only I had an imagination like him!

This week in pics

Monday: I was on the computer being a GREAT Mom and keeping up on my blogs while Keira was being mischevious with stickers. Her quote to me when she saw me: "I'm a clown!"

You certainly are, my sweet girl!!

Wednesday: Just a typical after Daddy gets home activity. "Ride'em cowboy...

and wrestle Daddy!"

Sunday: Caiden Scott spent the night and the kids were watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while Daddy got ready for church. Caden to me after taking the picture: "Uh Mom, I can't see. Can you move please?" At least he asked nicely!!

Keira got a cutesy new dress and was ready to pose as a girly girl.

Puppy Love

The kids are finally (mostly) over their fear of Reggie and are beginning to LOVE him. Caden wants to see him first thing in the mornings and when he gets home from school because he's "the cutest, sweetest little puppy and he's a good boy." It's really sweet to hear Cade talk about him and show that kind of love and tenderness to an animal. We are hopeful that Reggie will be a great dog for our family and the kids and him will be best friends!! He had "the procedure" this week, so we pray he will stay fairly calm and hopefully get over his urge to jump on the kids and give kisses the second he sees them.

Sidenote: Please excuse Keira's crazy hair in these pics. We try to tame it, but can't. The static in the air makes her hair stand up like she's been electrocuted and she had just woken up from her nap, so it was EXTRA tangled and crazy!

Beautiful Baby Cole

Today Keira and I got to go visit Jenny and her new baby Cole. He was born on the 12th and we are soooo excited he is here to play. Jenny is one of my oldest friends and it is so nice to have her living close by. (And hopefully even closer if her husband gets a job in Bentonville soon! Be praying that works out!!!) In the picture above, Keira is actually very happy, unfortunately sometimes her REALLY big smile for pictures often turns out looking a little cranky...or constipated, I'm not sure which.

We kept commenting on all of Cole's cute faces he was making in his
sleep, so Keira had to one up him and make a silly one of her own!
What a gorgeous boy!! He is absolutely PERFECT!!!

Grubb Look-alike Meter

This was totally fun to upload pics and see what it says. This seems to go against what most people say when they appraise our family. Most think Cade is a mini Curt and Keira favors me. However, according to My Heritage's state of the art face recognition program, it seems to be just the opposite.

Just a little Thursday night fun!

Tomorrow

Tomorrow I drop the kids off at school and make my way to Little Rock for my interview with the School of Pharmacy. I'm nervous. I know I have no good reason to be, but I am. It's a series of 3 short mini-interviews on 3 different topics with 3 different interviewers. We have 2 minutes before the interview to find out what the topic is and prepare. This is what makes me nervous. I'm not always the best at getting out what I want to say without having plenty of time to think about it ahead of time. Send positive thoughts my way tomorrow (mainly that I don't stick my foot in my big mouth or get lost in the ghetto of Little Rock that surrounds UAMS!)

White girls CAN dance!!

Keira and Eowyn were so cute dancing to a veggietales CD. First they were jsut sitting and bouncing, then jumping around, then they had to add the interpretive dancing with blankets. It was ADORABLE!!!

I hope this video will help hold you over until I find the time and energy to add more photos from the Grubb family vacation to our house.

Love you all!!
